Different Types Of Tshirt Printing Methods

We love getting our t-shirts printed with quirky quotes! It just gives a more personalised look to your wardrobe and sets you apart from the rest of the crowd, making you look quirky, trendy and cool! But have you ever imagined how your beloved t-shirts get printed? Here are the different types of t-shirt printing methods – read on!

Direct to Garments (DTG):

If you know how to work your way through a textile printer and ink, you can easily print using the DTG method! This method gives you a freehand to creativity - as you are free to use the computer to design whatever you want to on your t-shirt. All you have to do is to load the design into your computer and print – the DTG works exactly like a paper printer. Easy to use and implement too! A significant drawback though is that this ink lasts for less than a year and your t-shirt will be ruined if you use a low-quality textile printer.

Heat press printing:

The most economical way of t-shirt printing, the heat press printing is in vogue these days. Perfectly suited for t-shirts whose print is intricate and super complex. It works wonders on light coloured shirts. Darker coloured shirts won't have the desired result as the dye is translucent.

Screen printing:

Screen orienting is the most used method for printing on t-shirts. This is a preferred method because the results are perfect and totally adorable! So much so that people specifically ask for screen print when they want something quirky printed on their t-shirts – but then it does fall expensive if you want a specific design for yourself. Mostly, the screen print method is used for mass printing by huge companies, as the results are not only quick but accurate too.

Vinyl cutting:

Cut out the designs on a special soft cloth and then press it on your t-shirt with a heat press! That's all you have to do when it comes to vinyl cutting. The sheets allow you to experiment as much as you want to, so you are free to play with colours, layers, patterns and bring out the best designs to print out on your t-shirts. Printed t-shirts are a trend  - so why not get one printed? You could even do it yourself! Get all crafty and creative, choose a method of your choice and you're good to go!
