PRINTING

*See bottom of page for Heat Transfer info*

Screen Printing is used as a great alternative to embroidery and for large area designs. Most garments suitable for embroidery are also suitable for screen printing.

Our semi automatic 6 colour screen printing carousel can service multi colour large run orders as well as smaller quantities & one-offs.

Screen Printing is most suited to T-shirts which are a lighter weight than Sweatshirts, Polos & Hoodies so don’t take the embroidery as well as heavier garments but the process is suitable for all garments including workwear & company uniform.

See our Screen Printing Gallery for examples of our work.

Screen printing has more position options than embroidery. Here are a few examples:

Origination Costs

As with embroidery, a set up charge is made to cover the costs of setting up the screens needed for printing your design. This is a one off charge as we keep the screens for subsequent orders. The screen charge is £15 per colour (eg: 4 colour logo = £60 screen charge).

Artwork

At Bettaprint we appreciate how tricky it can be to get artwork for screen printing into the correct usable formats. We always advise our customers that .eps files are going to work best but that doesn’t mean we can’t use the files that you’ve got. If you are unsure you can call us or send your design in whatever format you have to designs@bettaprints.co.uk . There is usually a way round everything.

Modern Screen Printing methods were first patented right here in Manchester. Read about it here: http://www.screenprinting.com/ & here’s the Wiki - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Screen_printing

HEAT SEAL TRANSFERS

Heat Transfer technology is used if the image you want on your garment is a photograph or is very intricate or the colours blurr and fade; Effects that cannot easily be achieved with traditional screen printing techniques or embroidery. This is also the most suitable method for putting your logos onto Nylon (waterproof) garments.

Recent advances in this field mean it is now possible to heat transfer onto a much wider range of garments and to a much higher standard than was previously possible. Using our versacmm digital print system, cadcut & ultragraphics we can now faithfully reproduce your artwork using this inexpensive medium onto a wide variety of garments.

Origination Costs
Occasionally artwork will need a re-draw to achieve the desired results – usually only if the artwork supplied is a jpeg origionally designed for a website. In those cases the cost will be a one off payment of around £25 although customers are often satisfied with the quality using the website jpeg.

Prices

A breast pocket one colour transfer will cost £1.75.
A large back or front transfer upto 250mm wide will cost £2.75.

Larger transfers are priced individually so please call for details.

An extra per colour charge may apply depending on the type of transfer required. Phone or email your design for an accurate quote.

Artwork

As with screen printing the best results will be achieved if we have your artwork as a .eps file. We can however, always find a way round any artwork problem.

Check our Heat seal Transfer Gallery for examples of our work.
